UK Post Study Work Visa (PSWV) is golden opportunity for Indian students to live, search for a job and work in UK for two years after completing their graduation. The new immigration rule is applied for all the students who are enrolled at institutions approved by UK Higher education Provider. Candidates who are already studying masters or a bachelors degree in UK can only stay for a maximum of 4 months and search for a job. After the implementation of new immigration rules by the Government of the UK, international students are allowed to stay in UK for a maximum of 2 years.
The reason for the announcement of new rule is, the UK government want skilled manpower and bright students to stay back that can grow and make its STEM-related fields. Indian students who have enrolled in year 2020/21 in UK universities can stay up to two years before they are required to upgrade or change their post study visa.

1. UK Tier 2 Visa
Tier 2 UK visa is the most common work visa for international students to stay back and work in UK after completing their degrees. A graduate can switch from Tier 4 UK student visa to UK Tier 2 visa. Therefore, they are considered as new entrant, depending on their occupations.

2. Tier 4 Doctorate Extension Scheme
The Tier 4 Doctorate Extension Scheme is designed to give Tier 4 students who completed their PhD at UK University and they have more time to set up their own business as an entrepreneur, and find work with a Tier 2 employer.

3. Tier 5 Government Authorised Exchange visa
UK Tier5 visa is a fine visa route option for international students to remain in UK for work, gain experience, internship, training or research after completing their graduation. Duration of Tier 5 UK visa is 12-24 months, depends on the scheme. Tier 5 UK visa is applicable for non-EU citizens.

4. Start-up visa
Start-up visa is an optional route for international students who wish to develop their entrepreneurial skills by setting up an innovative, viable and scalable business in UK. The start-up visa is the replacement of UK Tier 1 (Graduate Entrepreneur) visa from 5 July 2019. Start-up visa duration is maximum 2 years. After 2 years, you can switch over to Innovator visa, which will allow you to extend your stay and continue developing your business in the UK.
