About QS World University Rankings:

QS World University Rankings is a yearly publication of college rankings by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS). It was previously known as Times Higher Education–QS World University Rankings, the distributer had worked together with Times Higher Education (THE) magazine to distribute its international league tables and then started their own versions. QS at that point decided to keep utilizing the existing methodology, while THE adopted another technique to make their rankings.

QS Rankings is the only international ranking that has been approved by International Ranking Expert Group (IREG). It is seen as one of the three most-broadly read university rankings in the world. Second comes the Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) and the third is Times Higher Education World University Rankings (THE). Compared to other rankings, QS ranking is viewed by most of the people around the world.

Around 90 UK universities are ranked in QS World Rankings, 2020. Among them, 4 universities are found in global top 10 and another 4 more universities in top 50. Other than that, six more universities are newly added to QS rankings. Not only universities, QS UK university ranking by subject wise is also available. Academic Reputation (40%)

Academic reputation review is a survey that asks few questions to the dynamic academicians over the world about the top colleges and universities. Around 75,015 people from more than 140 countries are involved in the survey. They can select up to 30 Universities. This survey incorporates more than 500,000 data points. The average respondent has 20.4 years of academic experience, while 81% of respondents have longer than a time of involvement with the academic world.

Faculty Reputation (20%)

This indicator represents 20% of a college's conceivable score in the rankings. It is an exemplary measure utilized in different ranking systems and it acts as an intermediary for teaching and their commitment, however QS has conceded that it is under satisfactory.

Citations per faculty (20%)

Published Research articles’ citations are among the most broadly utilized contributions to public and worldwide rankings. The QS World Rankings utilized the citation data from Thomson Reuters, Scopus, and Elsevier. The complete number of references for a five-year time span is partitioned by the number of academics in a college to yield the score, which represents 20% of a college's conceivable score in the rankings.

Employer Reputation (10%)

Employer reputation is similar to that of Academic Reputation, then again.
